Landed houses are properties built directly on land, with their own individual land title (not strata) — including terrace, bungalow, semi-D and townhouse. Unlike apartments/condos, landed house owners fully own the land itself, with no monthly maintenance fee.
Apartments and condominiums are residential units in multi-storey buildings with shared facilities (swimming pool, gym, security). Usually more affordable than a landed house in the same urban location, but come with a monthly maintenance fee.
Commercial properties include shoplots, office space, and warehouses — used for business purposes, not residential. Usually requires commercial financing (not a regular home loan) and tenure/lease terms vary by type.
Vacant land (no built structure) can be categorized by use — residential, industrial, agricultural, or commercial. Important to check the land conversion status before buying if your intended use differs from the existing category.
